Open Mic

Jeff Newman hosted the first of what we hope will be many open mic nights. Though I thought we were not going to have an actual mic at the open mic night, Jeff surprised us and brought his. And it sounded great. Thanks to all that came.

Next week: bigger, louder, more!

Concert photos

Just uploaded a few of my photos from tonight's show. Super Famicom elected to play in the dark, so no photos from that set.

Marching forward

We made it through another opening here at the gallery. This month's featured artist, Edie, says she had a great time in Jacksonville.

Edie also got a nice comment in the newspaper's Open Line column. The caller said, "I'm glad to see that Edie Overturf is coming to Noir. I’ve seen her work before."

We have lots of shows coming up including a night of freejazz which will certainly prove interesting.

Also, we don't know when yet, but we're expecting to do a movie night with some really avant garde films from a filmmaker who John Waters lists as an influence. Keep an eye on our calendar of upcoming events.
